  • Floating IP Address ConceptWhen using floating IP addresses, you reserve a special IP address and assign it to your device. Now, data addressed to this IP address is routed to your router, which forwards it to your device. When the data returns, the router sends it back using this floating IP address as the source.
  • Security GroupsA security group is a set of user-defined rules that determine allowed traffic and can be applied to virtual machine ports. You can choose existing rule sets (presets) or create your own, as well as use different network protocols for configuration.
